What does hotel front desk software need to do in Bangladesh?

It has to show every room's state at a glance, check guests in and out with the right paperwork, keep one folio per stay, and close the day cleanly. CXTIME Front Desk does all of that in the same system as your reservations calendar, payments and guest conversations, so the desk never re-types what the inbox already knows.

Most hotels here run the desk on a register book, a spreadsheet and a WhatsApp group. The booking lives in one place, the advance in another, and the room status in the housekeeper's head. Front Desk puts them on one screen, in Dhaka time and BDT, with every sensitive action audited.

It is switched on per hotel, and we set it up with you: rooms, floors, rate rules, registration card and letter templates, partner companies and staff access.

Room board by floor: arrivals, in-house, departures
Check-in and check-out with printed registration cards
Guest folio with payments and balance for each stay
Housekeeping status on every room
Night audit to close the hotel day
Reservation letters generated from the booking

How does a hotel room board work?

The room board shows every room by floor with today's state: arriving, in-house, departing, vacant, awaiting housekeeping or blocked for maintenance. Above it sit the day's counts, so the duty manager sees arrivals, in-house guests and departures with balances due before the first guest walks in.

Tap a room to open its stay: the guest, the nights, the folio and what is still owed. The same board is in the CXTIME Android app, so a manager on the floor sees what the desk sees.

How do check-in and check-out work?

Check-in starts from the reservation that already exists, prints a registration card with the guest's details, and moves the room to in-house. Check-out shows the folio and the balance, records the final payment by cash, bKash, Nagad, Rocket, card or bank transfer, and frees the room for housekeeping.

Every payment lands as pending and a manager verifies it once, to confirmed or mismatch, so the cash drawer and the folio agree at the end of the shift. The branded invoice, in English or Bangla, goes to the guest's WhatsApp in one action.

What is night audit, and does CXTIME do it?

Night audit is the end-of-day close: the desk reviews the day's arrivals, departures and payments, posts the room tariff for guests in-house, and a manager approves the close before the next hotel day begins. CXTIME runs it as a guided step, so the day ends with a record rather than a pile of slips.

The close is a sensitive action, so it is audited: who ran it, who approved it and when, in Dhaka time.

Can the AI hold a room while a guest decides?

Yes. When a guest asks for specific dates in chat, the AI can place a temporary reservation hold on a real room from your calendar, and your staff confirm it or let it lapse. The AI never confirms a booking or takes an advance on its own; a person does.

Staff holds work the same way at the desk: a room held by one agent shows as held for five minutes, so two people selling the last deluxe room on a Friday cannot both succeed. The database itself refuses two bookings on one room for overlapping nights.

Can we manage corporate clients, agencies and group partners?

Yes. Front Desk keeps a partner register for corporate companies, travel agencies and online travel partners, each with its contacts and MoU dates, so negotiated business is tracked against the stays it produces. Partners are records you maintain; CXTIME does not connect to booking websites.

Families are handled properly too: adults, child ages, extra beds and breakfasts follow your child policy, are quoted by the AI and print on the invoice.

Is Front Desk part of the same system as accounts and payroll?

Yes. Front Desk, Finance & Accounts and Payroll & HR live in one CXTIME organisation alongside the inbox, reservations and CRM, with per-user visibility on top of Owner, Admin and Support roles. The desk sees the desk, the accounts team sees the ledgers, and every sensitive action is audited.

For a hotel group, that means one system and one set of permissions instead of a desk tool, an accounts package and a payroll spreadsheet that never agree.
